Steve Jobs is considered by many to be one of the greatest innovators of our time. His ability to revolutionise multiple industries and technology platforms has left a lasting impact on the society that we see around us today. We listen to our music on the iPod and iPhones that his company created. Lecture notes are recorded, crafted with our very hands on the iPad. The application of the devices created by his company Apple inc. seem astounding now.
One of the aspects that made him so successful was his ability to see the change he wanted to create. His ability to make the impossible possible. It is something that we can all draw on. Whether it is self-evident or not, we can all be greater than where we are. The constructs of life doesn’t need to be the limiting factor of where or what we become. And it is a very important fact in life. Who or what someone else says we should be doesn’t need to be the end result.
Choose a goal to aim for each and every day. It doesn’t matter how insignificant it may seem to anyone else. This is your goal, your life to live. It may be something small such as washing the dishes. It may be something much larger such as running a marathon. What the goal is, is not as important as the act of doing it. The act of changing the reality of your life for something better than just mediocrity. And when you get there, when you join the dots as Jobs puts it, you will see that you had the ability to innovate all along.
