The Cold and Wind and Rain don’t know

A sneak peek of what 2012 holds for the Wolffster

By Christopher McLeod

The wind sweeps across the plains sending a plethora of leaves flying. The sun awakens and gives sunburnt kisses to the parched land.

It has been an amazing six months for the Wolffster encompassing a wedding, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO) performances, and a whole lot of planning. Planning for what you may ask? Planning for the upcoming year of blogs and articles.

2012 promises to be an exciting year full of articles that excite and exude quality entertainment. Here is a look at some of the exciting stories:

This year marks the 15th anniversary release of Oasis’ third album Be Here Now. The Wolffster will be doing a two part retrospective beginning with the Oasis song Don’t look back in anger, followed by a look at the album that defined the Wolffster’s youth.

We will also be doing a special four part series on the Wolffster’s new composition: A Ballet Fantasy. A Ballet Fantasy has been a labour of love over the last four years. The series will look at the compositional process and program notes.

Throughout the year the Wolffster will be looking at the amateur classical music scene around Melbourne, exploring the ins and outs of what it is like to be apart of this exciting underground.

There will also been an exciting new Photojournalism project entitled: Where’s Quentin Now? Follow Quentin around as he travels through his world and ours.

So stay tuned for what is going to be an exciting world here on Aflatmajor. com
